NIMĒṢA Microgrid is an advanced system that integrates various renewable energy sources to form a Microgrid. The system gives the opportunity to understand various technical aspects of microgrid and its neighbor technologies. A microgrid provides an opportunity to use renewable energy resources in the absence of the main grid which makes the microgrid, one of the hot research topics in the field of electrical & power engineering. NIMESA MG is one step toward future microgrid that will be intelligent enough to support the main grid during peak load and critical local load during off-grid automatically.

Economic Benefits: The most important aspects of any technology are its economic benefits. A microgrid is useful if it’s operational and capital cost is economical than parallel or conventional power system technologies. The microgrid operation can be optimized in such a manner that it can produce cheaper energy. This required coordination between various energy sources including renewable like solar and wind etc. For e.g., a hybrid wind, solar with the BESS system can be operated at a lower cost by having co-ordinate use of their generation.
